I walk into room 121 with a warm freshly baked cookie, the room is as cold as always. I finish the cookie shortly after I take my seat. It is only second hour, so I am still not fully awake, Mr. Becker begans the class by turning off the lights so the class can clearly see what the projecter has put on the Smart Board, the only thing this always me to clearly see is how tired I am. I fight off the urge to sleep as Becker reviews the story "The Ages of Man" with the class, as with all the other discussions it brings up interesting view points and side notes about the story. Even though the chatter over the story is fun and exciting Becker decides to bring it to an end and snaps the lights on. He swiftly hands out a paper with another view of how the Greeks believed the humans were created. The room fell completely silent as my eyes and the eyes of my peers move left to right over the page in front of us, once again Mr. Becker calls for discussion, the ideas and opinions ebb and flow across the room as we pick apart the myth. Finally, after the everyone has given their piece, the homework is assigned, the bell rings and everyone in the class surges out the door.

    4th hour

The bell rang for class to start. Before anything had happened Zach told me about him signing up for the ACT at the wrong place on accident and would charge him if he wanted to change it. I laughed for a little bit at that. Almost immediately after Mr. Becker told me that I was the scribe for today. After that was over I heard a rustle to my left as Zach was frantically searching for a pencil emptying out his pockets and everything. While he was doing this he was doing the play by play for the scribe notes, we had a good laugh at that too. We than began to go over the story we had yesterday. We made a web organizer for each age of man. In the midst of that Logan called the golden age idiots because they didn’t know how to reproduce. Mr. Becker seemed taken aback by this. Mr. Becker than through out a “fancy pants” word for acquiring or wanting to acquire (acquisitive) to expand our vocabulary I assume. Than got into a discussion on whether or not we are the age of iron or not. To go along with that we talked about how our life expectancy is expected to be lower than our parents. Mr. Becker said we could probably blame his generation for that. We started to read the creation of man by Prometheus which we got when we walked into class. We than began a discussion on the story we just finished. We talked about why Zeus took fire away from man and what effect that it would have or did have. Mr. Becker then showed us his map on the back wall that had pins in it showing where the stories we have read took place. A lot of papers started to turn and rustle around I got excited and confused at the same time but it all turned out all right. A little bit before the bell rang Mr. Becker prompted us to read the Creation Cycle or at least the pre-story before class ended and it is due tomorrow. It got deafly silent in the room you could hear a pin drop I even imagined a pin actually dropping and I think that you could have actually heard a pin drop. I left class before the bell rang to help Austin so if anything awesome happened in the last 5 minutes I wasn’t there.
