This is great! It's finally friday and there is the first home game for varsity football tonight. In the begining of class today, Mr. Becker started describing about how 19 people still need to come to him with their topic outlines. All around the room there are students reading, drawing or even listening to their music. Some are finished with the needed assignment, while others are taking their time figuring out what to do. Those who are finished are begining to draft an essay. Over at his desk, Mr. Becker is giving ideas to a student on how to make her paper better. Anyways, in class it is silent. No talking is allowed, but there are a few whisperers. For the most part, everyone is working well on their essays. But, occasionally some students goof off. Today is like yesterday for this cless. Not much to do but work on the essays. The class seems a tad boring to a few of us. Some students look extremely bored by looking around the room or messing around with something on their desk. When a class is alittle boring, time slows down. The teacher comes arond and checks everyones papers and sees if anyone needs help. A few people get side tracked while others take the oppurtunity to get the help from the teacher. As time goes on, nothing really happens. Class is almost over, but everyone continues to work. As this hour ends it gets closer to our three day weekend. How exciting!

ReplyDelete'Ah, crap,' scribe day.
What did we do?
Thought about an essay,
Deliberated with a few.
Some people thought,
Others listened to music.
Between myths, I was caught.
Which cosmogony to pick?
I stared into space.
I was getting writers block.
I looked at the clocks face,
Tick tock, tick tock.
I finished my thesis,
And topic sentence number one.
A solid basis,
I did work, son!
What an easy day to write about.
I hope for a good grade.
But still, I have some doubt.
At least my outline was okay-ed.
