The class began on this sixteenth day of November as each of the students plopped into his or her seat. The room was dark as the bell rang, with the piercing sun shining through the blinds. A couple--maybe a few students were already proceding to assume the position, with their eyes closed and a heads laying across their folded arms. Mr. Becker, wearing the apparel of his beloved Cardinals, then gave us directions to do a five minute writing about the woman's role in the myths we've read so far (because you must "give the ladies their dues"). After we finished writing, Mr. Becker invitingly asked for questions about the essay, followed by a quick discussion on what we wrote. Then proceded the "Multi-Media Extravaganza" containing videos, rock music, and barnyard animal sounds. The extravaganza was pertaining to the story of Jason and the Argonauts. Gradually through the party some would call a slide show, students throughout the room began to succumb to the drowziness that had already overcome their fellow classmates. By the end of the slide show there were few who were still fully conscious. This peeved Mr. Becker, our fearless leader, who felt insulted. Little did he know, each of the students were not sleeping, but merely mourning the loss of their sacred Cardinals from the night before. I'm sure, being a fellow Cardinals fan, Mr. Becker understood the agony that comes with a sweep from the Cubs. After expressing his feelings, Mr. Becker warned us of a quiz yet to come and then yet again invitingly ask for questions. Finally, with our minds full of knowledge, we left to go to our third hour classes when the bell (or alarm clock for some) rang.

    Scribe Notes, Straight UP!

So get this, our class obviously started off with a strange and awkward conversation. Today happened to be concerning the idea whether arriving upon a warm chair before class was creepy or comforting. Zach then proceeded to be extremely confused as to which day of the week it was. But that apparently didn't matter for him because he deemed it convenient to inform us he had a bowl of cereal with Tony Tiger this morning, and it was sure GRRRRRREAT!!!
So when class really started, at approximately 1240 hours we set upon the idea of women's roles so far in the mythological stories we have read so far. We decided there were at least two common trends. That women either played a motherly role, or a role that was put in the shadows by the male's success. The idea that they sometimes played more of a distraction or stumbling block to the male.
We then realized there was a phat party in the room next to us that we were apparently not invited to. As we jumped on in to the story about Jason and Medea, we decided the theme in this mythological adventure centers more about the woman have a dominating and successful role. So the story in short was about a man named Jason, son of Aeson (I am Miles, son of Timothy. HAHA iono that just sounds sweet.) So Jason wants to be king but the current ruler decided he wants the golden fleece before he's givin up anything. Why he didn't want a sweet car or house, not really sure. I assume he wanted to be the phattest pimp on the street with his gold fleece. So in order to retrieve the fleece he slayed a dragon(NBD)(No Big Deal), awkwardly yoked two gigantic bulls and their flaming milk, and he then obviously slayed what comes next, outlandish eggplant soldiers that sprout from the ground with the intentions of flanking you. Haven't you guys read any mythology? geez. But all along he could of have only succeeded with the patience, knowledge and potion power of the witchess(Witch and Princess), Medea. Fleece is captured but the king just aint happy. He's that guy. He wants more. But Media, Jason and her brother set sail. Medea then goes ninja assassin Resident Evil on her brother and slice and dices him up into several pieces. She does this in order to get her father off their trail, similar to Mario Kart when Princess Peach throws a banana behind her to distract Toad and Wario ridin dirty.
They escape and live the American Dream for ten years, white picket fence and everything, the whole nine yards. But Medea doesn't realize that Jason was built for battle. He was like Mel Gibson at heart. So then he married a younger woman, which I really have no idea how that even correlates.... But ya, pretty much. By the time we completed this mythological journey we were lookin at roughly 1317 hours. In the last three minutes I winked at Matt and spit my gum out. And then we have a quiz monday, I honestly could not tell you what was on it though... and our paper is due by 11:59 pm tonight sucker! :)
