ReplyDeleteIn a world where class is forgotten after 2: 30, one man will captivate the hearts and minds of fellow classmates. He is the Scribe, and this is his story:

After the usual music class ended, I felt a change in the wind. A calling, if you will, of epic proportions. I walked into a seemingly normal classroom with classmates buzzing about their life. The bell rang, and to my suprise, we were still given class time to work on our essays. The feeling was back. I asked around to see who the scribe of the day was, but nobody could tell me. I looked at the calender with anticipation to find my name next to 9/15. My blood turned icy. Without a friendly reminder, my voice could never had been heard and the points would have washed from my grade. Determination flew from my soul, observing the classroom; however, half of the classmates had traveled to the library. Without an incentive to write, noticing that this note would be deemed "moot" put acid in my throat. Most of the class went unnoticed, working on their conclusions and Works Cited page, yet there were still others working on their immense sleeping routine. The hour went by slowly, and with nothing on my notebook, it seemed the class would take days to be over. Plus, the thought of finishing this before practice sped my heartbeat. Some classmates came back from the library, marking the closing of fourth hour. The rest came with three minutes left on the clock. Class was almost over, yet something much larger was on my mind..
