*OBJECTIVE: Apply post-reading strategies to comprehend, interpret, analyze and evaluate text by SUMMARIZING and PARAPHRASING.
Before I knew it fourth hour was here and mythology was beginning. I had waited for this class all morning and was confidently prepared on scribing. It was the usual drill of attendance and expectations before the groups were re-assembled and the work began. My group was diligently working on our story retelling along with the others. With the thought of thanksgiving so close I think it made everyone very concentrated. As every student watched the clock hands change more and more of the groups finished and were prepared for the presentations. Haley was so prepared she felt like playing solitaire. Of course that had me off track. Final comments were made, and plans were set to finalize our presentation within my group. Then right before our class ended Mr. Becker made his BIG announcement. This sneaky teacher went and scheduled a secret day for each group to practice the retelling of their story. How clever! Other things were said but with lunch next and Thanksgiving around the corner all I heard was Gobble Gobble. The End!!!!
