First, define the archetypal trickster.  Use  examples from "Anansi," "El Bizzaron," and at least one video clip to support your claims.  Quote the myths, and document your quotes ("Title of Story" #). 

Finish by expressing an opinion about WHY the trickster exists?  What do we get from his stories that we don't get from, say, cosmogonies or hero-stories?  What purpose does he serve in a culture? Of what does he remind us?  What do his stories teach/show?

Scoring Guide:
15:  Answers all parts of prompt convincingly with well-chosen examples.
13:  Missing examples from one "text" or answer is slightly underdeveloped.
11:  Missing examples from more than one "text" or answer is underdeveloped.
